PRESENTATION

This informative document, result of the same popular freedom from whose starts the activities and the existence itself of the Alpine-Adriatic social-cultural civic and euro-regionalist movement “Fogolâr Civic”, arises first of all from the moral and historic necessity to directly testify the past and the unexhausted contemplative, mobilization and promotion action of a civic culture well-established and renewed into the Friuli’s heart of the Central Europe from a non-party circle of citizens, but orientated to a peculiar ethic programmatic constitution with traditions of a quarter of century, fellowship whose the final end is exist like that, like a social and ideal typology: persist, challenge the time, the indifference, the sufficiency, the hostility of some slothful or malevolent modern society, of some arrogant, self-referential and weak institutions, of some potentates and clienteles often from provincial and signally of some conceited press that not infrequently overlook, deride or abuse the territorial daily life factually exercising over the projection of its memory between the coming generations unlawful rights of life and death, even if threaten in its privilege from too free information medium. How much social past variously worthy to be remembered is completely disappeared from the History, or from the memory of the human experience because there is no trace, thanks even to the fact that no one reporter has retained to make mention of it? “Plui lis stradis e son bandonadis plui la jerbe alì e cres” – means: “The more the streets are abandoned the more the grass grows there” – said about us our Historical and meritorious priest of Udine’s suburbs of Baldasseria, Father Tarcisio Bordignon, who remembering with us the fifth centennial of the local popular resistance against the Renaissance Europeans potentates, in 2009 wants address to us an estimation note for the unshakeable, ancient, tenaciousness demonstrated by us in the unswervingly persist for many years, in an acting consecrate to a destiny of anonymousness and oblivion. A sort, therefore, of web bulletin, even interpreted as an act of rebellion against the tyranny of a freedom of the press that in the name of which it is legal to sentencing, never specifically anyway, the “damnatio memoriae” of a fellowship because it is troublesome, irreducible, not sponsored, not well-connected with certain politic, not be extorted with the interruption of public funds or with the refusal of privileges, and in spite of this it is unbearably respected and even appreciate from significant and enlightened institutional figures, in Friuli, in Italy, in Europe. A civic, proud “Declaration of Independency” first of all from certain “great” local press. Here it is the sense of this “commentarii”, edited by the Fogolâr Civic presidency, originally in Friulian and Italian languages, and soon combine with English versions and compendiums by our collaborator ad hoc Mr. Francesco Nicolettis, for a possible better international fruition. A string of social chronicles in their genuine interpretation, that it is inaugurate with the exemplifying listing of the just pass 2014 Movement’s initiatives. List anyway incomplete because lacking of mention, for example, of the really countless exits of the Fogolâr Civic’s “general vexillary”, Mr. Gianfranco Passone, that for many years, with his historical flag that contains the Aquileia’s eagle, first euro-regional symbol between Alps and Adriatic sea, express distinguished testimony in each various social and institutional events all around Friuli. Still missing the weekly, participated and vivacious, meetings of the movement in its “capital”, Udine, and even more names of the participants at its numerous initiatives. Still missing something but only admitting this we can include ideally what we have, not by censorship, omitted. A due homage, at the end, to those that in the last quart of the century have contributed to develop a sequence of common cultural testimony that it is liberal contribution to history, to identity and to the planning of this ancient heart own to the Old Continent established by Friuli, crossroads that founds its origins into the myth of the international cosmopolite Alpine-Adriatic great metropolis of Aquileia.
